I understand the fact it appears the Creative Suite Standard as a whole appears to be incompatible with the High Sierra, however I downloaded the stand alone CS$ Illustrator (This is what I uninstalled from my Creative Suite as Photoshop, Indesign, and DreamWeaver all are still working fine) when I installed the stand alone it went through the whole install and got to the point it was asking for a Serial Number it would not accept my Creative Suite Standard SS# is there a way to get a serial number just for the CS4 Illustrator as it appears its going to install?

No, you cannot install the separate product. You have a license for the suite and so you must use the Suite installer.

Did you first download the CC management app, install it and then use it to download the trial?

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. In order to activate the trial version, you can simply click on the below link and download Adobe Creative Cloud, and once installed you can navigate to Apps section and download Illustrator from there:
https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html
Let us know if this helps or if you need any further assistance.

It does not work still, it says something like I need the permission of the administrator to activate the management of apps within my creative cloud profile. So, I tick on Download the trial version , I tick on permit to open the creative cloud and nothing else happens...

Hi there,
Thanks for trying the steps out by Rishabh. Would you mind sharing some more information like:
1. Version of OS.
2. Are you the Administrator on this computer or Is it managed by IT team of your work/college?
3. Have you tried creating a different user account and tried to install Apps?
All this information would help us understand the issue better and work accordingly.
You may also try direct download links provided on the link: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-apps-download.html as well. Let us know how it goes.
Regards,

Thanks for your kind reply.
My OS is 10.14.6.
I am the administrator.
I haven´t tried creating another profile just for this.
Finally, I have the link you sent me open, but I don´t know which one I should download or how. The thing is that I followed your previous one and downloaded it. It seemed to work and a window does open but when I tick to dowenload Illustrator, nothing happens in any tabs of Creative Cloud window. So, I have something installed, but I don´t know why it does not work. I may call tomorrow if I can, but it´s difficult at working hours and my concern is that it´s been three days of my free trial version and I haven´t been able to run the programme just yet, so I cannot decide whether I like it or not at all.

I need a version of Illustrator that works with MacOS Cataliona. My originally CS6 software was downloaded from a disc, not the app so I'm running into some issues.
Thanks in advance,
Missy

Hello @karolina_3345,
I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind checking if there are any pending Windows updates (https://adobe.ly/4fH2vAZ) and installing them to see if it helps?
If the problem persists, kindly share the system report (https://adobe.ly/4gPKnpI) so I can check it with the team.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

When using Opera under Windows, all installation programs are affected - including the CC app.
Is there a way to supplement the installation program with a manual query of the operating system if the automatic system fails? Because this case actually occurs relatively frequently (even if it is easy to fix by using a different browser and is therefore probably not mentioned in the bug reports).

Hallo @Anubhav M
Thank you for your quick reply.
A little more background information on this topic:
As I said, this exact problem has been increasingly requested on the Adobe Diskord servers in recent months (several dozen posts). It was almost always about current new Windows devices with good equipment and the “incompatibility error message”. In the vast majority of cases, the quick alternative solution was to stop using Opera and switch to another browser.
here are the two most recent posts on the same topic
A quick search (only !!) on the Photoshop server for Opera resulted in 165 hits

Unfortunately, I can't read the message in your screenshot.
However, a very probable cause under Windows could be the use of Opera as a browser. Please try another browser and let us know what happens.

Hi @pixxxelschubser,
Thank you so much for helping me, I don't think that I could have thought that it might be the browser problem, I tried downloading creative cloud by microsoft edge and it works.
Thank you for your help and sorry for the silly problem and have a nice day!

Glad the tip helped.
😉
Apparently the installation program automatically accesses the Mac OS file if it does not receive any information about the operating system from the browser. This is exactly the case with Opera. And that leads to the “incompatibility message”.
