Can't turn off multiply mode

Sometimes I start a design in Photoshop, then import to Illustrator. A couple times, I've accidentally left PSD layers in multiply mode, then can't switch them back to normal in Illustrator! I've tried fixing in the Transparency window, but no luck.

Figured it out. It's not enough to select the elements on a layer. It's not enough to select the layer. Transparency window shows both of those as "normal" not multiply.

You have to click the DOT AT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE LAYER. (See image.) I've never really noticed those dots before.

Then the Transparency window shows the multiply mode, which I can then change to normal.

The dot is the target symbol.
