Centering artboard to canvas center

I want to center my artboard to the center of the canvas. How do I do that? When I set the artboard coordinates to 0,0 it is not centered on the canvas. Why would that be? See the picture for example.

I know this is very late but I think I figured this one out!

Center of canvas seems to always be x: 5.5 in and Y: 8.5 in. These points seem to be the same regardless of the size of artboard.

Are rulers set to global?

That doesn't seem to affect the outcome. I tried both.
