Question

Change font size without changing font family

I want to have predefined font sizes that I can use without changing the typeface and the weights.

So, something like character styles but ONLY for type size. Is that possible in Illustrator?

it sounds doable, can you elaborate? post samples? or share files?

Let's say i have a headline set in Arial 72px. I want to have a bunch of predefined type sizes so I just change the font size and not the family. If I were to ink drop off these type sizes in the attached image, it would change my font family to Georgia. But, I just want the type size / weight / etc to stay the same as is.

Illustrator's weird way of using styles prevent you from using styles for it.

WHile you can set up a style that has only the size defined, Illustrator then unfortunately uses the [Normal Character Style] for everything that hasn't been set up in the Sizing style. Instead of just leaving it as is.
