Collect for output to creative cloud

Hi, i know its not the correct way to work but....

 

Is it possible to package a an Adobe Illustartor Creative Cloud file to another folder on my creative cloud?

As far as I know, you cannot package .aic files.

timsadobe@gmail.com I have to agree with @Ton Frederiks on that! Here is a trick that you could do, it's a small work-around. What you can do, is create a new document with that Illsutrator file in mind, and do a 'Preflight Package' and let InDesign to collect all the artwork, images, photos, pictures, fonts, any linked files that are essentially used in the Illustrator file. Once it's collected, just remove the InDesign files. And you have a 'package' file?

Have I tried this? No, it does sound pretty good in my head though!?!

InDesign will not collect fonts or images that are linked in an Illustrator file, because InDesign doesn't read the contents of the AI file. It just reads the PDF, which has all this stuff embedded.
