Color picker & object color changing automatically

Hi, 

I have som issues with the object color not changing into the color I picked with the colorpicker. It seems to think that it is the same color, until I copy the object and check. Then the colorpicker shows the same color as the object, but it is not the color I originally picked. I'm using Illustrator 28.0. It is probably a bug, but perhaps there's something I can do? Something to note is that my colleage has the same issue.
