Custom Brush Stroke broken when using direct selection tool

Genuinely have no idea what is happening. Everything else is working fine, but there's some weird dimensional thing happening when i direct edit point with this custom brush stroke. I've been using this brush stroke for a while and only started experiencing after the update.
