Envelope Distort Not Working

In my copy of Illustrator the object>envlope distort menu item is missing its options - make with warp, make with mesh etc. I'm tryping to apply a mesh distortion to text that has been turned into outlines. I'm using 24.1.3 (64-bit)

Hi guys

I have just unistalled several of the Astute Graphics plugins that I had been using and restarted Illustrator - result is that the envelope distort - and several other menu items including perspective and live paint - has reappeared. So I guess that the issue lies with the plugins?
