Hi all,
since Friday my Illustrator keeps crushing when linked images (both on the server and desktop) are placed in the file. I have tried different versions of Illustrator (26.2.1/26.2/26.1).
I have attached a screenshot, a warning on a "linked" image that is missing.
The images are there, both on the server or desktop. I have also selected the option for slow network (image capture 2).
I think there is a broken pattern between the image and Illustrator but my knowledge ends here.
I cannot use Illustrator with images (jpegs, PDFs) at the moment.
Any help appreciated
Hello, this problem escalated to not be able to open Illustrator without crushing with or without images. So I have asked the help of the IT in the company where I work, the ticket is still open and we are testing this. He thinks might be "corrupt preferences", these were deleted and also page memory was increased. All other Adobe applications work perfectly fine. I will start working again in Illustrator from today and report back if the issue starts again. Many thanks for your suggestions 🙂

Can you save your images to your desktop? There can be lots of reasons why it's not working from the server.

As @melissapiccone mentioned, there could be multiple issues when the files are linked from Network locations. I want to confirm if the same thing happens with multiple files? Have you noticed similar behavior in other applications?
