This seems to be an oft-asked, but unresolved question.
In Windows 10 on a personal desktop computer where are custom workspaces stored? I've seen numerous answers that place custom workspaces in /.../AppData/Roaming/Adobe ... and various subfolders. I've also seen responses that the custom workspaces are stored in /ProgramData/Adobe/Illustrator. I've even seen a post saying the workspaces are in /.../AppData/Local/...
I don't understand why Adobe ended the synchronized workspace feature...it was easy-to-use, very convenient, and well designed. Those are probably the reasons why it was dropped.
So what's the convoluted, inconvenient and hard-to-figure-out work-around?
I use Creative Cloud apps on multiple computers, and would like to have my workspace easily transported between them.
I've used the "Workspace" export feature, and then tried to import the workspace, but I get an error message telling me the selected file is not a workspace.
Help, please.
On mac the location is:
HD\Users\(user name)\Library\Preferences\Adobe Illustrator (version number) Settings\en_US\Workspaces
Windows location is similar.
But just do a search on your drive for your workspace name. If you get too many results, jus give you workspace a unique name and search.
Yes I agree is a shame they got rid of workspace synchronization.

Thanks for your answer.
I don't use a Mac. I use a Windows 10 PC. The folder structure is not the same as Mac.

Never said folder structure is same but was hopefully clear enough that the location is similar. That is why I gave you another way to find this by searching, did you try that?

I just did a search for mine as well - looks like its an obscure folder on PC :
C:\Users\(YOUR USER NAME)\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 24 Settings\en_US\x64\Workspaces\
Mine was located here - this is the most recent version of Illustrator (as of 11/22/2019, AI 24)

Hello,
first my english not so good as your so plz try to manage with it
now here's the answer
just make random workspace with random settings
then find your workspace which might be in
C:\Users\Your User Name \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 24 Settings\en_US\x64\Modified Workspaces
then right click and open that workspace in notepad then u see some coddings
now open your original workspace which u want to use ( with same pattern open with notepad and then copy all codigns from there and paste it into your random workspace then save it )
after that open your software and u can chnage name according to your wish
don't think this is not going to work bcz its working i did it some pcs and it worked everytime
That's all thanks
Best Regards
Sahil

Working on a Mac 10.13.6 (High Sierra) there is no Adobe Illustrator or any Adobe folder in my Library/Preferences folder.

You need to open the user library, which is hidden by default on the Mac. There are countless tutorials on how to access it.
