Hi Meredith,   I would have everyone install the font the exact same way, and get rid of the other version completely. Even though the name is the same. the FOND ID is likely different. The FOND ID is a social security number for fonts. So even though the names are similar, consider them to be 2 entirely different fonts (like identical twins, but they are not the same person). 2 options I know of are: using fonts.adobe.com installing from google fonts This is a free font from Google fonts, and they did some strange things of making 3 versions of the fonts without any explanation.    I do not like this having 4 groups for the same fonts. It clutters and lengthens your fonts menu without any explanation. There is font hinting and such to not have a need for fonts design at specific sizes, so the creator of DM Sans has created a font that causes more confusion and problems untles you all install the same fonts. Sonds liek a FONDID conflict. Try flushing your font cache and uninstalling unused fonts. How are you loading your font and what OS are you on. Font book on mac warns of FOND ID conflicts. ... View more

Ilustrator allows you to use the exact same name for multiple artbaords, and should save individual files for each. This gets really confusing though, and I would take the time to rename the artboards.   Also try using the artboards flyour menu >> Rearrange all Artbaord. this can help eliminate confusion or artboards in wrong order. When I encountered such issues in the past, it was a actaully human error, where I thought my artbaords were in a different order.    Also try selecting the artboard tool. I would avoid placing jpeg, adn use .PSD instead. I see you haevconcoet boards so the quality of lossy compression is not an issue, but for an example one single CMYK jpg can cause issues like that. There really is no reason for a CMYK jpeg, but it is allowed.   I cannot see your filenames, but be careful of using non-alphanumeric characters.  Slashes and colons  and additional periods outside the file extension separator should never be used. Yes you must keep your strokes to the default of align center.   You should also see if you can upgrade your lasercutter software, or if other vector file formats are preferred (SVG, pdf, dxf). AI8 is very old and you may run into other problems covering such as type shifts. ... View more
