Gold swatches?

I'm designing a  finishers medal and I want to simulate a gold effect in Illustrator CC on type and a logo. I read  the best way to do this is with gold swatches. Where's a reputable place to obtain professionally produced gold Illustrator swatches? Also, does anyone have any links to a good tutorial that covers this topic?

Thanks!

Sure!

For high-quality gold swatches for Illustrator, check out Adobe Stock or Creative Market. Both offer a great selection of professional resources.

For tutorials on creating a gold effect in Illustrator, Adobe’s tutorials or YouTube are excellent places to start. Search for "How to create a gold effect in Illustrator" for step-by-step guides.

Best of luck with your medal design!

This should just be printed and look like it's already a 3D medal?

In that case, try gradients to simulate it. There are some metal gradients in the swatches libraries

Actually, it's a printed image inside of a real medal. Here's an example, provide by the medal supplier. Actually, maybe too much gold would be overkill. I like the way the Department of Education logo comes off in this example, with just a touch of flat gold and a 2D image.
