GPU Display Problems / Animated zoom in CPU view

I would LOVE to see animated zoom come to CPU preview.

I rely on this zoom which is only available in GPU preview, but in GPU preview there are just more and more vector bugs that appear on line work that shouldn't have them but these go away with CPU view. Would be nice to combine the best zoom tool with the least buggy preview view. Or just not have these bugs appear in GPU. They didn't used to happen but in the last 3 months or so I've been noticing these bugs on almost every vector I'm working on. I often try to fix them not knowing it's a GPU preview error only to switch to CPU and realize I was wasting my time on a visual bug that doesn't exist.

Screenshot attached for reference. This shows the exact same graphics and I'm just switching between preview modes. On Mac OS 12.2.1 & Illustrator 26.2.1

Hello @gourlie.goods,

I am sorry to hear about the problems while using GPU Preview. I completely agree with you that having Animated Zoom working with CPU Preview would really help with this. However, this is not currently available. You can try requesting this on UserVoice here: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests

I hope it helps.

Thanks,
