The opacity and location options are not enabled in my gradient panel. Is there any reason for this?

Thanks

I'm having a similar question, only with the opacity alone. It is greyed out. Any ideas on why? @Monika Gause

Nevermind, answered my own question immediately after asking:

You have to select one of the colors on the circles at either end of your gradient (on the panel as in the pic above). Once you click one of the circles featuring the color (for me it would be pink or yellow), the location and opacity menus are unlocked. @Janverh
