Green banding around my gradient in Illustrator

Hi, can anyone help out with these weird green streaks on the outside of my gradient in Illustrator? Not sure why these green bands are showing up. No matter how I adjust the gradient, it won't go away. The green bands only change in thickness. I've also tried adjusting the blend mode but that doesn't fix it either. If I could get someone's help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
