How-To Disable Generative AI features in Illustrator

As a scientist and group leader, I am very concerned each time Illustrator repeatedly suggests that I use generative AI on my scientific data. I of course will not use this feature, but my junior scientist trainees may be tempted. I believe Adobe will cease to be the leading scientific platform if they don't produce a product line for academia that does not include generative AI.

Please consider?

thanks

Laura

In which way do you think your colleagues can use it in Illustrator on actual data?

Generative AI has no connection to charts or variables.

It doesn't generate text.

You can get an Enterpricse license. In that the admin can block access to Firefly.

thanks for the response! Most concerning would be if people can use AI to generate realistic-looking cell staining or tissue staining or immunoblot bands or any other of the visual data that we rely on in my field.

What is Firefly? We do have an enterprise license and I suspect our compliance folks would be interested to know that they can block access to generative AI if that's an option

Firefly is the AI model that is used to generate the artwork.

There should be documentation about the admin side of Firefly. You can also refer to this here: https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/network-endpoints.html

Very interesting, thank you. I will see if there is institutional interest in blocking Firefly. From that link it appears that blocking Firefly would not impact the function of other .ai capabilities?
