Hello,
I have created a graphic with Illustrator and would like to export it to Word.
I see two ways to do it :
1) I select the graphic in Illustrator and do File/Export the selection in SVG, then in Word I do Insert/image and select the SVG.
or
2) I select the graphic in Illustrator and do Copy, then in Word I do Paste.
In these two cases I have the graphic in Word, but what is the best worflow between these two ways ?
And what is the difference between these two cases ?

Which system are you using?
With Word this is crucial.

I am about to put all my graphics into Word.
Do you think I can do it by copy the selected graphics in Illustrator, and paste them into Word.
Is it a good way to do it like that ? Because I would like to keep all quality of my Illustrator graphics.
Or do you advise me to do it by :
In Illustrator, export the selection to SVG, then in Word : Insert/Image.

Do you plan to edit the artwork in Word? Change colors and stuff?
What happens with the files? WIll you hand them to clients? Are the clients supposed to do stuff with the artwork?
Will the Word file be used on a Mac? Word WIndows and Mac are 2 different apps unfortunately.
Will it be printed by others?
Here is a thread about exporting to WOrd: https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/best-practice-logo-formatting-when-importing-...

In Illustrator save as to PDF. Choose the right PDF preset setting for whether you are working in digital or print.
In older versions of word .emf was the 0nly file format, but for over a decade PDF works and has no issues with dropping grpahics like .svg can.

In fact, I am working on a technical book : as the text and notes are in Word (for Windows), my goal was to create all my graphics in Illustrator and put them inside the existing text in Word. All my graphics are in black color. Here is an example :
As there is a big number of graphics I have made in Illustrator, I need to put all my graphics at the good place inside the text in Word, and send the Word file to the book publisher. Then, the book publisher will make the layout of the book, and then it will be printed. My book publisher only accepts Word files (for the text).
If I understand well, the import in Word will not be a good solution (it will decrease the quality of my Illustrator graphics), but what other solution have I ?

I have just finished importing all my graphics in the Word file. Finally, the best choice for doing that was :
- in Illustrator, for each graphic I select it and do File/Export the selection in SVG.
- Then in Word : Insert/Image
The result seems to be good, perhaps because I have only graphics in black (no color graphics) ?
If you compare Word VS Adobe Frame Maker VS Adobe InDesign VS QuarkXpress : what is the best choice to keep the maximum quality by importing SVG graphics from Illustrator (for a software that could do Text + import SVG) ?
