I have Adobe CC subscription and update my apps weekly. I have the latest version of Illustrator installed and updated. At least twice a week I will recieve .PDf files from clients and when I open the file I get a dialog box saying that this file was created in a newer version of Illustrator. How is this possible, and how I do I fix it so I can work with client files without having them resubmit files in older formats?
I am using OSX 10.9.5
Adobe CC subsription with all apps installed and updated weekly
Hi there,
What is the exact version of your Illustrator? You can find that by clicking on the Illustrator menu on the top left > About Illustrator.
The latest version is 2017.0.2 that is 21.0.2.

Om

Looks like that was the problem. For some reason my CC shows the latest available version is 2015.3 build 20.0.0
Now to figure out how I can get the current version installed on my machine when my CC app says there is no such thing.

Hi there,
The answer to that is your OS. You need to update your OS to be able to install the newer versions of Adobe Apps. Please check : System requirements | Adobe Illustrator Once you update the OS, your will find the newer apps in CC Desktop app and you can install from there.

Om
