After updated to 2017, Illustrator didn't recognize my GPU ( GTX 970m) like the 2015 version.
I reset the preference file, and didn't help.
What can I do to fix this.

Downgrade or buy a new computer, unfortunately. I did the former.

you mean downgrade Illustrator or the Nvidia driver?
You think Adobe and Nvidia wouldn't solve this?
I think I can do my work without the GPU acceleration, but just the abnormality bothers me a bit.

Downgrade Illustrator. Adobe arbitrarily and intentionally decided to double the VRAM requirements for things like animated zoom. It happened to me, too. I actually see no value in upgrading to any of the 2017 apps, so that was the easiest solution.

I tried to downgrade illustrator 2015 to version: 20.01, 20.0.0, 19.2.1, 19.20.
Unfortunately none of these versions find my gpu either (nvidia 960m). The strange thing is that these version where able to find my gpu in the past.
