We are delighted to announce that Illustrator Beta is now live on Windows for ARM devices (with Qualcomm SD X-Elite processors) for the English locale. This update allows users to run Illustrator on devices with Snapdragon X Series ARM architecture-based processors through emulation mode.

Note: Only Illustrator 28.7 beta and later versions are available on Windows ARM architecture-based processors.

Key Highlights:

  • Fully functional Illustrator on the Windows ARM platform
  • Illustrator native x86 app runs in Emulation Mode
  • Supports GPU acceleration
  • Supports CPU fallback mode
  • GPU performance benchmarks on par with native mode in certain cases

Minimum System Requirements:

  • Processor: Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100 (up to 3.4 GHz, 12 cores)
  • Graphics: Snapdragon X Elite Qualcomm Adreno.

Change your language to US and it will work. I did the same and Illustrator appeared immediately.

Same problem in Slovenia. I have an active Creative Cloud subscription and Illustrator is not visible in Beta apps. If Adobe is not able to provide all apps for ARM arhitecture then lower the prices....

I feel the same. I always had the impression that Adobe works things faster, but this time they seem to extremely slow in releasing an update. ARM was announced in May and October will be over in 12 days and so far no proper beta for Illustrator, this kind of support sucks.

You need to be in one of the few english speaking countries where beta is currently available. If not, you can't.

Is there any update for the app? Still not available in all regions. The ARM beta was announced on August 2, 2024, and it has been over 2.5 months and yet not available in all regions. I reside in Taiwan and so far no beta. Illustrator is the main app for my workflow and it is irritating that Adobe is taking so much time to introduce this on ARM64. For comparison, Affinity products already have NATIVE ARM versions released (native and not emulated). I wish Adobe really puts some hard effort to bring it faster. Is there anyway that other regions can access the beta, because this is slowly becoming as a do or die type for me for Adobe apps.

You're in which region? My locale is English too. But apparently it is region locked.

Hi,

I am a designer and I bought The Surface Arm Laptop based on your promise to be available.

It`s been months and there is no Illustrator.  You should pay more attention to your promises. We suffer because of it.

Please release the product as soon as possible.

I'm using Surface Pro11 with Snapdragon X Plus X1P-64-100 processor

Will this processor be supported in the official version after beta?

Great work Adobe - kudos to the porting and testing teams!

Premiere Pro runs nicely on the X Plus - hopefully all the Adobe apps can transition nicely over (and not just be limiteed to the X Elite).

The Illustrator web app is also pretty cool, though I had some problems with file translation - it didn't open my .AI file properly (some gradients went wonky).

Hello everyone,

We apologize for this inconvenience and understand how important it is for you to have Illustrator available on your Microsoft Copilot+ PCs. We know you've been waiting a long time for this. This version of Illustrator is too new and is still a work in progress, which is why it is currently only available in English locales and runs in emulation mode.

Our product team acknowledges this issue and is working diligently to make it available in multiple locales as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we're locking this post. If you need any updates on this build, send us a DM and upvote the UserVoice page. We will continue to provide updates here as soon as we have more information.

Thank you in advance for your patience and support!

It has been a month guys since any update and been like 2.5 months since the beta got released. Any update on when can we expect the final version or beta expand to all regions?

Just writing to add that my experience matches what everybody else is stating. I even uninstalled all Adobe Apps including Creative Cloud to give it a clean install, but no Illustrator (Beta) available to download. Also, if I App is opened in browser and the "Get Desktop App" button is used from there, it attempts to install but ends up stating:" Illustrator is not yet available for your device".

With the web app being extremely unstable, my projects are currently on hold and I'd appreciate any update/help.

I have lost my hope now and switched to Corel Draw. A huge brand 'Adobe' couldn't make an application for arm64 devices. I can't use Illustrator and Indesign on my Snapdragon X device. There is no official announcement yet. What a shame!

I think I figured it out. I have access to our enterprise console and tried to create the beta package, but Illustrator beta is only available in x64 and NOT x86, which it specifically says is the version that's compatible with ARM (Snapdragon). So, we need the x86 beta available. I hope someone at Adobe can help with this. @Srishti Bali

@Srishti Bali, Could you please chime in and share your thoughts on the problem many have reported here? For whatever reason, we are not able to install Illustrator Beta on a Windows (ARM) device, and nothing can be tested.
