Hello,

When i try create new document i got this window:

I use PL ver.

reinstal - does not work

Some ideas?

Hi, I got the same problem, I've tried the workaround, "use legacy file new interface" (which I prefer btw), but the problem still exists.

With the non-legacy interface I do see all the templates appearing but it is when I click on "Create file" nothing happens.

Also with the legacy interface, no new document appears after clicking "OK".12

Is there perhaps a dialog box open below the New document dialog?

This happened to me today because I hit some shortcuts too quickly today. If that is the case for you, you need to first close the New document and then close the other dialog box, then create new document again.

No that's not the case, I've restarted Illustrator several times and the problem keeps on exist.

Hi all,

The answer suggested by iambillythekid is a workaround. We are still investigating the issue. Please check for any proxy settings applied and any anti-virus installed like Avast in case you are getting a blank screen to create a new document. If there is a proxy, please share the details.

Anti-virus may be the issue. Some Anti-virus programs can cause all sorts of strangeness, as a side note dump Avast and use Microsoft Defender, you can download it if you're not on Windows10 and typically issues with software don't arise with Defender and best of all, it's free, no annual fees.

I encountered the same problem several times after upgraded to CC2017, and in this case, if i close the dialog and try to open an existing document from menu, AI crashes.

We are not able to reproduce the same at our end. Did you try re installing the app as suggested above? If yes and if you are still getting the same issue, please share your system details and try resetting the Preferences for AI.

Goddamn whats wrong with you guys? Every new version is more buggy than previous, all the new features are useless. I miss so much Illustrator 10 - which was last version not produced by indians and which never ever crushes even under wine emulator on Linux(!). God knows how much nerves and times was wasted just because of bugs in Adobe Illustrator. We want software that just works, we do not need shittons of useless features to be added every year. And you buy and destroy Macromedia to cut us off from any sane alternative. Feels sad.
