I am having this problem when opening one specific .svg file. The same thing happens when my coworkers try to open it on their computers. I tried uninstalling, resetting preferences, restarting, reinstalling a deleting the opm.db file mentioned above.. None of these worked for me. Any ideas?

If you don't have Wacom Drivers, try this one.

On a Mac, go to:

/Users/YOURNAME/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE

delete the file: opm.db

This solution works for me.

Hi,

Please reset the Illustrator preferences and the launch it. It seems that the file cache that you opened initially is not letting the app launch. Also need to know where is that file saved? If it is on a network drive, try opening a local file or save that local and then open.

Regards,

Om

I tried resetting the preferences before posting the original message. I had also tried launching by opening a file saved locally but that didn't work either.

You mention 'Also need to know where is that file saved?' I don't know what you mean, what file?

I have also reinstalled Illustrator CC2015.3 which launches without issue. I have also uninstalled 2017, cleared cc2015's preferences and then reinstalled cc2017 and it  still crashes.

I also used the Cleaner Tool to clean all of Creative Cloud and reinstall everything from scratch but that hasn't worked either.

Hi,

Do you use a Wacom? If yes, please disconnect it and then remove the Wacom framework from : Mac HD > Library > Frameworks

and then relaunch AI and check. If it works, try updating your Wacom Drivers.
