Illustrator does not open, stuck on loading - macbook air m1

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to use Illustrator for some days and it is not opening. The app is stuck in an infinite loop and not responding. Version is 25.2.1 on a macbook air m1. It was working fine some days ago, I've tried reinstalling but not luck.

Please, could anyone help me solve this?

You should know that most of Creative Cloud programs, including up to now, Illustrator are not running natively on computers using the M1 computer chip. Rather they are forced to use Apple emulation software called Rosetta 2. Many problems have been reported due to this issue. Adobe has recently announced the release of a beta version of Illustrator designed to run natively. If you are feeling adventurous you may wish to become a beta tester. You can read Adobe's press release about the beta version at: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/42991251-illustrator-beta-for-apple-silicon-is-here. Anyone else with this problem? I tried removing everything from Adobe using the CC Cleaner tool, restarted, reinstalled and still doesn't open!

Have you tried the new Beta version of AI for the M1 chip? It should be listed at the top of this forum list.

Hi Jonathan!

Download the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and follow the instructions here: https://helpx.adobe.com/au/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
