I recently updated my creative cloud but Illustrator just stops working whenever I try to open an already saved illustration or save a new one.
Is anyone else having this issue? Please help!
Hi Wren,
The issue is with Mac OS High Sierra iCloud file system. I had to turn it off and move all my files back from iCloud to my Mac hard drive. Everything works fine now.
As such, Illustrator users should be informed that they can not activate the iCloud file system when switching to Mac OS High Sierra. Otherwise all their desktop and document files are moved remotely and Illustrator can’t open/save them.
Glad that everything works fine again.
Thanks,
Tiago

Which system?
Did you migrate the old preferences?
Is a printer connected and turned on?

No luck. Still not working after I reinstalled illustrator from creative cloud again and made sure to migrate preferences. As I do not have a printer, I am printing to PDF but I can't even save as pdf or print to pdf..

Are your files on your hard disk?
If not, please try to open from there and save to there.
