Increase canvas size to show objects partially hidden past the border

Hi!

I have a few objects that expand behind the canvas border. I would like to increase the canvas size to make them fully visible. Like a square that is cut, but I wanna show the full square (that exists, as soon as I select it). But as soon as I do that, just a white area is added.

Is there a way to do that?

Could your image be contained within a Clipping Mask? Select the object, right mouse click and see if "Release Clipping Mask" is an option. Select it if it is and hopefully you will see your image. Depending on who or how a file is created, objects can nested within multiple clipping masks. If you don't see the image, repeat the process until that "Release Clipping Mask" menu option doesn't show.

I don't fully understand what you are trying to do but here are a couple of menu items that may help...

Object > Artboards > Fit to Artwork Bounds

Object > Artboards > Fit to Selected Art

Thank you for your input, didn't knew about that function! I guess I have a different problem. Am I missing something simple? Why is the full object still not visible?
