Is it true Adobe now only allows download of current and previous app versions?? If so, Adobe is no longer a good choice in a production environment. Trying to maintain a production workflow while updating our core software every year is simply not practical, especially when we use a small fraction of the features available in Illustrator. I realize software and hardware changes and apps move on, but giving users only two choices of an application is simply unreasonable. We cannot add a user to our production environment because AI CC 2020 and 2021 will not create an "Illustrator-compatible PDF" that can be edited by "Legacy AI CC" apps. Sure, it would be nice to update everyone but that is not possible right now. I'm disappointed in Adobe's business decision to limit access to their software to paying customers.

If I'm wrong about the limited download options please show me how to download AI CC 2019.

Thank you for the link, lambiloon. I feel very uncertain of downloading licensed software from a 3rd party site especially when the message appears "download is not secure". I can't believe Adobe would sanction or allow this. Come on Adobe, do the right thing and return to a more reasonable approach to you software subscription policy.

Ray, you will have to go through customer service to get a download. Try the Chat option and keep pressing for a higher level if you get a no.

In the CC app, click on the three dots next to Illustrator, select 'Other Versions' and choose v23.

I am trying to manually update CS6 Illutstrator for windows and MAC.

I am trying to download 16.2.2 and when I click download it has a broken link.

Can anyone help on this matter. These updates are critical to the older products.

I am afraid you will have to ask Adobe for the download(s).

Simply contact the Adobe support team at https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html, and if needed request to be put in contact with the Adobe Genuine team.

Hey all I urgently need illustrator, but it says "Not compatible" when I go to install it. Is there anyway to possibly get an older version? I tried looking at my apps but theres no option to get an older version.

Thanks for reaching out. Would you mind sharing version of OS?

Adobe is curently providing CC2020 and CC2019 app downloads only. Any version perior to CC2019 is not available or supported.

Please check system requirements of Adobe Illustrator CC2020 on help article https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/system-requirements.html and Adobe Illustrator CC2019 on help article https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/system-requirements/2019.html

Also know how you can install the CC2019 on help article https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html

I'd recommend upgrading your machine if your system does not meet these requirements. Hope it helps.

I have The 2013 CS6 Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesgin, Etc) and i just got the new Windows Surface Pro 7. since theres not CD rom on this laptop can i download the newer version of Photoshop/Illustrator with my old serial numbers?

I'm working from home and need to install specifically Illustrator 23.1.1 for my work. I don't see it in the 'other versions' drop down in the Creative Cloud app, how do I get this version?
On my workstation in the office, we have that version so it's still floating around somewhere, but I don't see anything between 23.0.1 and 24 in the app.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. Last release for CC2019 was v23.1 which you should be able to see under Other Versions on Creative Cloud. There was no 23.1.1 released for Adobe Illustrator.

I am attching a screenshot for your reference:

If you do not see this, make sure you have an updated Creative Cloud desktop app. Hope it helps.

Just checked for updates on the creative cloud app again, and no, it looks like it's up to date. Added a screenshot of what I'm looking at for Illustrator versions.

it goes from 23.0.1 to 24.

Bonjour,

Je suis sous une vieille version de Mac (El Capitan 2011), j'ai une lience avec les différentes applications de la suite Adobe sous CC 2018.

Suite à un soucis de logiciel, j'ai désinstallé illustrator mais ne parviens plus à réinstaller cette version…

Auriez-vous une solution pour installé cette ancienne version? Ou quelconque version compatible avec mon ordinateur? Je ne souhaite pas le mettre à jour, j'ai peur qu'il rende l'âme…

Hi Hélène,

Thanks for reaching out. Adobe Illustrator CC2019 and CC2020 are the only available versions to download and install through Adobe Creative Cloud. macOS El Capitan (10.11) is not compatible with any of these. I'd recommend upgrading your OS to use the latest version of Adobe apps.

Thanks for your answer.

I tried to contact someone on the Adobe Facebook page, and somebody answers to me :

"Hi there - Only the two latest versions of the app are available via the site. Please reach out to our chat support team here: help.adobe There's an icon to "Contact us" that will appear in the lower, right-hand corner. They can try to give you a link to a previous version."

So, there is may be a solution with a link to the previous version. I try to communicate with somebody with the chat here, but nobody answers to me for the moment…

Hey, I´m totally a newbie here. I can´t get to download the free version. After I press Download it gets a window saying it is being downloaded but it´s not and nothing else happens. What should I do? Thanks.
