Hello after the last updated i have an issue with the undo function.

When i cut a file and select a random file on the artbloard and then use "undo (Ctrl+Z)" the cuted file is selected only.

Few weeks ago the function was working with bouth objects selected after i did the Undo.

Is there an option to change that or its something with the newest update?

Hi @Mario D

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're experiencing. Could you please share a quick recording of the issue, along with your OS and Illustrator version?

Regards,

Hi @Mario D, we checked with the product team, and the behavior you described wasn’t working correctly before. The Undo (Ctrl+Z) function is designed to roll back all actions—this includes silent actions, like changes in selection—bringing the artboard back to the last recorded state. In this case, that would be only the previously selected rectangle that was cut.

A similar, correct behavior can be observed with transformations. For example, if you move an object and then use Undo, it will revert to the original position, along with its selection state at that time.

I hope this clarifies!

Best,
