Hello,

I would like to copy custom keyboard shortcut from one to another computer. The xport and import does not work. When exporting I only get an .txt file. Thank you!

hi @sarav75061497 I'm trying to follow this thread but still having trouble achieving the export/import. Can you share how you did it? I'm finding the route folder as describe by >Go To from Finder menu but not the specified file or steps beyond that. Thank you!

Hello @sarav75061497,

Thanks for reaching out. As suggested by Doug, your custom keyboard shortcuts are saved as a .kys file.

The location for macOS is:

~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator 27 Settings

Note: Location starting with this "~" sign indicates the User Library, which is hidden. So, you need to copy & paste the exact path in spotlight search or from Finder Menu > Go > Go to Folder > Paste the location in the dialog box like this:

Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need assistance. We'd be happy to help.

Thanks,

Anubhav

For Mac you can find it in this list: https://www.vektorgarten.de/illustrator-settings.html#11

Eyporting the settings does not work via Edit > My Settings > Export ?

You could rename the exported file to .zip and then unpack it. There are several settings files in it.

Saved keyboard shortcuts will be a .kys file in this location (Windows):

\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 27 Settings\en_GB\x64

Thank you again!
