Are there any keyboard shortcuts (in Illustrator) to change the transparency of an object? (as there are in Photoshop)

Hi David,

Thanks for reaching out. As Monika mentioned, you can assign keyboard shortscuts from edit menu. Please go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts, under tools section just scroll down to get transparency options.

Please note: You can not assign Ctrl, Alt or function keys for tool shortcuts.

Let us know if that works or if you need any further assistance.

Aside from setting shortcuts...

If you go to your transparency panel and highlight the percentage field you could do the following;

1) Hold down the Command key and click the up or down arrow on your keyboard to change transparency by 10% increments

2) Hold down the Options key and click the up or down arrow on your keyboard to change transparency by 3% increments

3) Click up or down arrow key to change transparency by 1% increments

SHIFT+up or down arrows also increments by 10

You can also make a feature request on Adobe Illustrator Feedback.

You can assign them in Edit > Keyboard shotcuts (in the tools section)
