My monitor's View Area Height is approximately 330mm/13". I do not have space in my tool bar after installing AG. But you have enough space. What is your monitor's View Area Height?

On my work PC (which runs a pair of 1080p resolution monitors) the Scale setting under Windows' Scale and Layout is 100%. I attached a screen shot of how Adobe Illustrator looks on that system with all the extra goodies from Astute Graphics added to the tool bar. There is still a decent amount of blank space at the bottom of the tool bar. Scale settings above 100% should be used only when running monitors that are well above regular HD resolution.

Try changing the scale setting to 150% or lower and check the Illustrator preferences again.

It's set to 1920x1080 pixels and like Doug I suspect the settings for the icon sizes.

I cannot find any changes by changing this. What is this?

It sets the position of the arrows of the Illustrator window's scroll bars.
