outline stroke

Hi, 

 

I designed something in illustrator and when I go to Object>Path>Outline stroke it changes the appearance of my design so the edges are not rounded anymore. I know I can fix this manually but can anyone advise on why this is happening?

Assuming it's not a CPU/GPU viewing issue (toggle with ctrl-e), try changing the end cap to rounded, or try changing the mitre limit...
