Partial Clipped Elements in Repeat Object

Is there an easy way to get the repeat tool to skip any elements partly in and partly outside the Clippping Mask that repeat generates: Ideally it wouild be part of the Repeat Oject properties that could be configured using the Property panel as demonstrated in the image.

Since that feature is not available, how would I write a script that checked to see if the bounds of each item intersected with the clipping mask? If it does, assign a Graphic Style to it so I can configure them differently (like making them opactiy:0)
