Pathfinder Minus Front not cutting out letters correctly

Hello everyone - I'm about to lose my mind on this one...

I have a word that I'm trying to knockout from a rectangle using the 'Minus Front' function. Here's what I keep getting:

Both items selected, then I minus front and get this:

How do I get clean shapes? Thank you in advance!

I think that did it! I'm on CC, so I did View > View using GPU and that cleared it up - THANK YOU!!

Since this helped, you could try and check whether there is an update available to your graphic card's driver.
