PDF not opening correctly

Hi,

since one of the last updates, some of the images within a pdf created in xd are nor showing up in Illustrator, while some do. Also, mey pdfs saved from XD which wher opened correctly in Illustrator 2020 are not not oepning correctly. Does anybody know a fix for this?

Illustrator is not a general purpose PDF editor. And PDF was never meant for editing. It's a presentation/production format.

 

The only thing you can do is place/Link the PDF. That should work.

 

Please don't attach images. Embed them in your posts instead.

I know, I was just wondering because that never happened before in older versions. I don't really edit my pdfs in Illustrator. Just in this particular case I tried to open it because PS only showed a blank canvas when opening that pdf (originally exported from XD) The export quality of jpgs/ pngs from XD is so bad, that I usually export pdfs, than open them in PS and then save them as png. Works great usually. Just not this time. May be it/s an XD export issue after all. I should probably post that question in the XD forum too.

oh and sorry for the bad typing.. clicked post too fast and THEN noticed that Adobe has removed the edit option. What a great idea guys. Totally stupid, but anyways. I hope someone can help with the Illustrator issue..
