ILLUSTRATOR JUST CRASHED WHILE MY FILE WAS SAVING. THE PROGRAM WAS CLOSED AND HE DID NOT COME AS A RESCUE. I FOUND THE AID FILE BUT IT CANNOT OPEN.

It is not guaranteed that the file can be recovered at all. Please save your files often and regularly. Please save multiple versions. This should be your wake-up call to do that.

TRy opening in adobe Acrobat, the save a s.pdf and open in AI. The PDF half of the file may have been saved.
