Hi, I have a problem with my multi-artboards AI file. When I export it to SVGs files (File - Export - Export As.. - SVG - use artboards) the black paths (RGB 0,0,0) exports as transparent paths. I mean that the black color was lost and replaced with transparent in output SVG files. At the same time while testing the problem I've exported the file with a couple black elements only, and the export was successful.
Previosly I've exported many other files in the same way and everything was Ok, the problem appeared since 11th of July 2023 only. I've installed the latest updates for Creative Cloud and Illustrator, re-installed Illustrator - the issue is still here.
Please see the attached AI file (there is 1 artboard only in this AI, but there is the same issue), output SVG file and settings screenshot. I've use the same settings many times before and everything was Ok.
Now I'm trying to export my old AI files (which were successfully exported to SVG before) as a test, but they can't be exported correctly this time.
It's weird, but I can't attach my AI file - community page wrotes "The attachment's test_export.ai content type (application/postscript) does not match its file extension and has been removed"
I've saved the file as PDF ("illustrator default" mode) and trying to attach it here, I hope it'll work 🙂 and the problem is the same when exporting from this PDF to SVG using Illustrator
The developers have been working on the SVG export module. SO it might happen that things are now working differently.
Can you upload the AI file to Dropbox or the like and post a link?
And also: this rang a bell. There is an issue with black fills not being defined when exporting an SVG. When was the last time you could do it correctly?
The last successful export was 04th of April 2023 . The next export of the similar files (the next part of the ongoing big project) was on 11th of July 2023, and it was unsuccessful
