Problems uploading .png file to Snapfish website

Having produced a map as a psd file I then added a drawn route to the map using the pencil facility in illustrator. I exported this as a .png file. Whatever file size I selected it still refused to upload to my snapfish account. The same file without the drawn lines would upload. Any ideas on what the problem is I would be very grateful to hear from you.
