Properties Panel missing from Illustrator with macOs Big Sur Update

Just started my free trial with Illustrator 2020 and found that the properties panel is no showing up on the interface and cannot be manually accessed going through the window tab. I have reset the workspace and tried all the different workspace options but it never appears and nothing happens when I search and select it. I recently updated my Mac so wondering if this has something to do with it as I have seen some similar posts in the forum... I also deselected my GPR as this was advised in a previous post, but again, nothing. 

 

Help! My trial runs out and I would like to make the most of it but cant without this essential panel....

Hi there,

 

Sorry to hear about your experience. Please update your application to the 2021 version & see if it helps. You may also try resetting preferences of the app as suggested by Mike. Let us know if it helps.

**Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. This way all your old settings will be saved in .old folders and Illustrator will recreate new folders with default settings.

Try resetting your illustrator prefs, and workspace. If that does not help you should go back to Catalina.
