In Illustrator CC 2018.... in document setup/edit artboards.... When the "move/copy artwork with artboard" is selected, it is working fine.... but when I click the feature off.... it still does move the artwork with the artboard.  Very annoying....!!

For anyone who has trouble moving the artboard: It could be the file. In my case I had the typical spinning wheel on my mac, so i couldn't move the artboard in illustrator. That was solved when I created a new file.

Same problem here. Latest illustrator is installed on Windows.

- Bug 1: If 'Move Artboard with Artwork' is unchecked, it still moves the artwork if you use the keyboard.

- Bug 2: Also, moving the artboard with the mouse does not snap to the grid.

- Bug 3: The only work around is to position the artboard on the grid by using the scaling handles. But this doesn't work either since the scaling handles no longer accurately snap to the grid. Instead of snapping to 64 pixels, they'll snap to something like 63.67 pixels.
- Workaround: So I need to type in the dimensions for the artboard by hand and hope to god it doesn't move my artwork.

Since I export a lot of game art on a grid, this has made my workflow much worse.

What have I done so far....  reinstalled twice Illustrator 2018 without any previous settings.

And still it moves the artwork with artboard.... no matter if the feature is on of off.

Don't know anymore what check....

Porkkana are you trying to move artboard with keyboard increment.? If yes, you can try moving artboard using the mouse cursor.

In 2017 version it did work fine both with mouse and keyboard.... now it does not work with keyboard anymore.

And that is what I use most in my work.

I can turn the option on or off in the Properties panel or in the Control bar (and it works fine for me).

I do not see that in Document Setup.

Hi,

Can you please share the video of what you are doing after clearing your preferences. This might help us reproduce the issue as it seems to be working fine for us.

Thanks & Regards

Sorry, but I don't have time for that.

When I have time I will try to install Illustrator again.

I'm seeing the normal expected behavior on macOS High Sierra. Have you tried resetting preferences?

Yes, did reset preferences as in so many place was said that it would solve the problems.... but did not in this case.

I work with PC and Win 7 Professional.

I wish that I would not have updated this new version as all the odd bugs really does slow down my work.
