When objects are selected the layer color outline is overwhelming and I am unable to see the difference the color change makes without deselcting the object (in my immediate case, text that has been outlined). In Affinity Designer, any object's selected outline is temporarily invisible when making any changes to that object, which was fantastic! I could hover around the color wheel and find the best color almost immediately without the intrusive outline color interrupting my view of the changes taking place. Please tell me this is possible in Adobe Illustrator? (or something similar)?

You can use cmd/ctrl+shift+B to hide/show the bounding box, and cmd/ctrl+H to hide/show edges.

Luckier yous, Peter.
A now show is far better than a no show.
I had thought it might be neither here nor there.
