Rounded Corners With Gradient Mesh

Hello,

I have a rectangle shape that I created with rounded corners. When I added a gradient mesh to the object the corners reverted back to points. I have tried to remove to corner points (mesh + alt and direct select delete) to no avail. Stylize -> rounded corners does nothing. The widget for rounding the corners doesnt come up. What am I missing?

Thanks!

Windows 10 (1909)

Adobe Illustrator CC 2020 (24.1.1)

I guess I can just try and start over 😞

Went back to previous version of the same file and it did the same thing.

I created a new file with a new shape added the mesh and the corners stayed rounded. I guess it was something wrong with my file.

When you say "the corners reverted back to points" so you mean they became square corners or the object corners were no longer adjustable (without using the Direct Selection tool). If the latter, that is normal behavior.

They become square corners.

That's weird... Did not do that on my system.

What version of Illustrator and what OS (and version) are you running?
