Screenshots diseppeared

Sorry to hear that happened—it sounds really frustrating. Sometimes screenshots can disappear if they weren’t fully embedded (for example, if they were linked instead of saved into the file). In the meantime, try checking your recent backups or version history to see if the images are still recoverable.

Did you add the screenshots with drag and drop?

It is always safer to add them using File > Place.

I'm sorry to hear about the screenshots disappearing from your presentation, I can understand how frustrating that must feel. Could you confirm if the screenshots were placed as linked files or embedded into Illustrator? If they were linked, the issue may be that the original files have been moved from their location on your computer, so Illustrator can no longer find them. In that case, you can relink them using the Links panel. If they were embedded, try checking if they appear again after switching the GPU Preview to CPU Preview from the View menu, as sometimes the GPU mode can cause them to disappear visually. Also, let me know which version of Illustrator and operating system you are on, and if this happens in all documents or just this particular file.
