Setting Page Margin for all Artboards?

Engaged ,
Sep 18, 2024 Sep 18, 2024

I am creating a document and would like to set a page margin for each of my artboards of a .5" margin on all edges to
make them consistent. Instead of using rulers, what is an easier way of doing this?

Thanks

How about making guides instead?

  1.  Create a new layer
  2.  Draw one rectangle same size as artboard
  3.  In Transform Panel  you can perform math e.g. [ your page size ] - 1"
  4.  Ensure it's centered on the artboard
  5.  Copy the rectangle and use the Edit menu to Paste on all Artboards
  6.  Select all the rectangles, you can do this easily if they're in their own layer
  7.  Turn them into guides either View > Guides > Make Guides or Right click > Make Guides.
  8.  Lock the layer
