I have tried everything to get my stroke to change color in Illustrator. For some reason it is fixed on black, and I cant change it. I have never had this problem before. I have searched to find the solution but I cant find it. I created a simple stroke with the pen tool and added it to my brushes and never had this issue. Can anyone help me fix this?

It's a brush?

In the brush options set the colorization options to "Tints"

You can either double click on the stroke (cirled in red), or click on a swatch. On new art you draw shodul naot have any problem.

If you are picking up exisitng art you could for example have a stroke color set to the layer in appearance

If you need more help please post a screenshot, as I can ony help if you can show me where you are at, and not feasable to guess at 100s of possibilities.
