Straight lines with Astute on tablet

I'm trying to draw a straight line but using a tablet. It seems like "Sketching speed" and "Stylus pressure" don't work. I'm able to draw the straight line using "Option" but the line has the same width no matter what. Am I missing something?

Or maybe I don't need Astute? (meaning Illustrator can do it alone)

Thanks a lot

Cristian

I used dynamic Sketch. I can draw a straight line, but then the variable width feature is gone.

I meant that I was able to do the varying width using Gradient Width.

This looks like you want to make a feature request to Astute Graphics.

In the way the tool is working right now this is impossible to have.

    Contact AG about it.

    So you're using which tool?

    Thank you, Monika.

I'm using Illustrator, I guess it wasn't clear.

I managed to do that eventually with Width Gradient from Astute. But not Dynamic Sketch

I was referring to the tool you are using inside Illutrator.

And I'm really not sure what you mean with the width gradient tool. It cannot draw anything.

With the Dyanmic sketch tool in order to draw a straight line: press the Alt key while dragging the mouse.
