I am not sure why my Illustrator doesn't have the textBlock feature. I know you can find it under File>Scripts>textBlock but mine doest have the selection. The only ones shown are ImageTracing, SaveDocsAsPDF, SaveDocsAsSVG, and Other Scripts...

Help here.

Thanks

You are learning Illustrator with a book and this is not covered? What exactly?

It has never been there, you need to download and install the script.

Yes. Many people on Instagram just run through that and then don't tell you that it's something you have to download. Or probably don't even know it themselves.

I don't know  where you saw the textBlock feature script. I cannot remember it and what it should do.

Answering the OP

you have to install the scripts to get them listed in the Scripts Menu

That could be it, Carlos. They have both the same name.

Somehow your script does not download in Chrome, but does in Safari and Firefox.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
