I would start by drawing an overall shape, then by drawing shape areas for each contour or colour difference I want to accentuate. Then I would fill them using live paint, then add details using brushes. What do you want help with exactly?

I certainly do not know. Just a little familiar with Photoshop but I would want to make use and advance on the use Illustrator.
