Type on an angle for chart legend

I need to manualy create chart legend and can not figure out how to get the type on an angle like the countries are in this chart example... Help? Please 🙂

As Monika surmised, the effect is not retained after changes but it can be saved as a "Graphic Style" and re-assigned.

You can't do that. At least not without some trickery and then it might get lost when you edit the data. You could try and apply the Transform effect to the single text objects to get it (select them in a live graph with the group selection tool).

    The chart is not active so no need to worry about preserving data. I'm trying to replicate type on an angle but all aligning to the top... Is that possible? (ignore the chart part, didn't mean to confuse the matter, sorry!)

     

    I do need the text be be editable and not outlined. So active text in a text box, hopefully.
