Updating linked to Images the scale and position is reset

When ever I replace, or even update an Linked image to a newer version, the scale and position is reset!

Did you select an image and check in the Links panel menu what the Placement Options are? Like Preserve Transforms?

Thanks Ton, that seems to have worked but I have to do this to all the images in the file rather than just having it in preferences. Don't get me started on the lack of scaling options on images in Illustrator.

I don't now why you have to do this for every image.

What do you have in Preferences > File Handling > Update Links : ...
