What version of Illustrator are my files?

New Here ,
Sep 25, 2018 Sep 25, 2018

HI. Maybe I'm missing something, but "Info" (Command i) used to tell me the version that my files were saved in.

I need to check if my CC files were all saved down to Illustrator 6 but I don't see this anywhere. It's driving me crazy.

How do I do this without having to save each one again to be sure?

Please help

Christine

Cmd+I still shows that info. First it shows that it is created by Illustrator in general, but further down, it does still show that version it was saved as. Perhaps there is an arrow that you need to expand?

What version of Illustrator are you using? When I do Command-i all I get is that it is an Adobe Illustrator Document. Using File>File Info>Basic all it says is what version the file was created in. As I said in my first post the same is true using Bridge. I did find that if you save back to an early CS version it will ask you legacy questions when you try to reopen the file using CC 2018.

Do you have Adobe Bridge? If you launch it and navigate to your file within that app, then you can view the file properties, which will show the version of Illustrator the file was originally created in.

That is true but I believe the question here is not what version the file was created in but how to confirm that the backsaving of the file has worked.

Hi There- Just read this and I too am having a problem identifying the illustrator version the eps files were saved. I'm using Illustrator 23.1.1.

Command i, does give you general information, but does not tell you the illustrator version. All of the arrows have been expanded, just don't see this info anywhere. Can someone help clarify how I can verify which version these files were saved?
